Abstinence & Saturn conjunct Natal Moon/Uranus in Leo, 6th House

I read on www.cainer.com yesterday that Saturn just went direct in Leo.

Praise Shiva!  (or any other deity you like)

I wondered if it was anywhere close to my Moon, so I looked it up.

Oh dear. Yes. Exact conjunction about 18 degrees, right on top of my Moon in Leo and Uranus in Leo in te 6th house.

What does that mean?

Well, Saturn is the planet of structure, authority & time – the Greek god is Chronos, the Roman god is Saturn. It is the planet of restrictions & limitations!  (There is a reason Vedic astrologers call it maelific.)

So, lo and behold, no wonder my emotional desires have felt so held back, so limited, and it’s  been right there since late November, tromping back and forth on my large lionhearted Leo Moon & Leo Uranus. (Yes, Saturn retrograde affects everyone. It’s just stronger if it is in geometric aspect to any of your natal chart planets.)

Now, the Moon is our emotional nature, our feminine side. The Moon is about home and nurturing and how we give and receive those things.

Uranus is about invention and change, lightening-like and unexpected, unpredictable.

So you can see how having a planet that is all about structures and limitations and restrictions sitting for 8 months (it’s not really out of orb until late July) on my emotions, nurture and inventiveness, could be a bit of a FREAKING DRAG!!!

*ahem*

Yes, I can do some stuff with the beliefs around this. I did notice that it is interesting how astrologers notoriously advise clients to refrain from or do the opposite of something that a transit signifies. They are often all about buckle down, don’t give in to this energy, do it the other way.

Anything strike you as odd about that?

Me, too.

Well, the good news is that this reflection of my inner world out there in the sky has begun to move forward again from my perspective on Earth, and will soon go bother other slices of the sky pie, so that I can once again freely express my lionhearted emotions and changes.

I imagine there will have been some internal shifts from the process. I can even guess what some of them are, given that I have sought emotional nurturance and nearly found it in the last 3 or 4 wonderful personals ads contacts I made. I’ve been bewildered and baffled at the closeness that never panned out.

Perhaps if I choose to follow a different timing . . . a different structure . . . insuch alliances, maybe, just maybe I can find what I am looking for.

It is also synchronous that I chose to abstain from orgasm during this time of limitation in retrograde. I’m pretty much ready to move forward on that myself. It is only a matter of when, how, and with whom, if anyone. I should check the New Moon chart for Beltane and see if it allows as how that is best done in alignment with the cosmos. My friend Charisse, gave me the best advice:  just let it unfold.
